Project summary:
This study investigates the origin and diversification of Pedicularis species in the Himalayas, hypothesizing dispersal from the Hengduans, higher endemism in the Eastern Himalayas due to geographic proximity, and in situ radiation. Using molecular phylogenetics, we aim to understand species relationships, diversification rates, and role of floral traits in diversification.
