Uncovering cryptic diversity in the Spermacoceae clade (Rubiaceae) by using integrative taxonomic
tools within the Mitracarpus baturitensis complex
Project summary:
This project applies integrative taxonomy to resolve the Mitracarpus baturitensis complex, a lineage disjointly distributed across Brazilian inselbergs. By combining population genetics, morphometrics analysis, and biogeographical investigations, I aim to test species boundaries, revealing cryptic diversity and providing data for the conservation of the complex Spermacoceae clade.
