Macro fungi are fungal groups that produce visible fruiting bodies on maturation and are involved in decomposition, C sequestration, and overall nutrient dynamics. Despite such pivotal roles, their study has been a lesser priority for research in Nepal. Therefore, this research aims to document this group of fungi across the alpine region of one of the most diverse landscapes of the country, the Kanchenjunga Landscape, Nepal. The line transect method with quadrats based on systematic random sampling will be employed to study the macrofungal diversity during the month of June/July 2025.
