Systematics and evolution of the glandular sticky Croton (subsect. Medea) from southern South America

Project summary:

Croton subsect. Medea is a group that stands out due to its diagnostic features and habitat specialization. Currently, 45 species are recognized, several of them are rare and endemic. The subsection is poorly known, principally in Amazonian. The project aims to increase preliminary data, through visits to herbaria and fieldwork.
