DIVERSITY AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE GENUS IMPATIENS (SECTION: SCAPIGERAE) FROM WESTERN GHATS, INDIA

Project summary:

This research aims to recollect and document poorly known and uncollected scapigerous Impatiens taxa
of the Western Ghats and to critically reassess species delimitation in scapigerous Impatiens because this scapigerous group is confined only in Western Ghats. These collections will support taxonomic research, enable a comprehensive species checklist and advance conservation efforts while fostering collaborations and creating awareness among the forest people to conserve this unique genus
