The genus Myrcia s.l. it has approximately 800 species, being one of the most numerous neotropical genera. In view of the great relevance of the genus, the present work aims to carry out the taxonomic study of the species of Myrcia s.l. and assess the conservation status of species in the state of Pernambuco.
