Spatio-temporal diversification of Leucostele (Cactaceae: Trichocereinae) as a basis for its taxonomic delimitation
Project summary:
The project will resolve the evolutionary and biogeographic history of Leucostele, through robust and dated phylogeny, and genetic structuring of L. chiloensis s.l. populations. The objective is to define the taxonomic limits of the genus, its phylogenetic position, species and subspecies, using genomic sequencing to understand its spatiotemporal diversification.
