Advances in the Systematics of Sloanea L. (Elaeocarpaceae): Integrated Analyses of Molecular, Morphological, and Palynological Data

Project summary:

The project addresses systematic studies of the genus Sloanea, aiming to delineate the species within two selected complexes, using an integrative approach with multiple lines of evidence: morphological and linear morphometric characterization, molecular (DNA barcoding), and palynological analyses. The grant will help cover costs associated with visiting herbaria in the USA, in order to examine important collections that best represent the distribution of the species, which would be crucial for completing this delineation investigation.
