Ecology, diversity and characteristics of the vegetation of Sida natural forest and the status of indigenous plant species in south Omo zone of Southern, Ethiopia
Project summary:
Ethiopia is centers of biodiversity. However, the vegetation is subjected to loss, the annual loss estimated to be 150,000 to 200,000 ha (EFAP, 1994). This project will be conducted to document, describe the status of vegetation, identify environmental and soil factors that govern plant species distribution and propose conservation strategy.
