Understanding the species diversity and evolutionary history of Macrolobium (Leguminosae)
Project summary:
Macrolobium is a Neotropical genus belonging to the diverse Brownea clade of the legume subfamily Detarioideae. The taxonomy and the evolutionary relationships of the Macrolobium sect. Macrolobium remains poorly understood. This research will address this gap by increasing documentation and taxonomic sampling through targeted collecting in megadiverse areas, thereby enabling reconstruction of a well-sampled phylogeny for the group.
