Phylogenomics and organellar genome architecture in brown algae (Phaeophyceae, Chromista)

Project summary:

This project will expand brown algal (Phaeophyceae) sampling through international herbarium collections and fresh material to generate complete organellar genomes. The resulting dataset will cover 100% of all families in the entire Class, enabling large-scale phylogenomics, comparative genome-architecture analyses, and divergence-time estimation to date major evolutionary transitions within the clade.
