Synthesis through space and time: Integrative taxonomic revision of the Mahogany tree genus Toona (ENDL.) M.ROEM.
Project summary:
The Mahogany tree genus Toona (ENDL.) M.ROEM. is shrouded in taxonomic uncertainty: Neither the total number of species nor their delimitation are clear. For taxonomic revision a multi-level approach will be applied, combining morphological and phylogenomic analyses with investigations on niche evolution, biogeography and metabolomics to solve the historic riddle.
