Phylogenetic systematics of the genus Agrostis based on morphological, anatomical and molecular characters in the context of the subtribe Agrostidinae (Poaceae, Pooideae, Poeae)
Project summary:
Agrostis L. encompasses ca. 220 species. Its generic delimitation is currently under discussion with species of difficult identification. There is an important center of diversification in the Andean-Patagonian region where endemisms and taxa with restricted geographical distribution are recorded. It is important to gather more evidence for their generic delimitation on the basis of a robust phylogeny.
