Systematics of Croton sect. Pedicellati B.W. Van Ee & P. E. Berry (Euphorbiaceae)
Project summary:
Croton sect. Pedicellati is a Neotropical section of the genus Croton, covering 20 species distributed between South America and Mexico, being Brazil the main center of diversity. The Pedicellati section is not yet revised, with insufficient distribution data, unknown species conservation status and problematic relationship between species. The names included in this section have a complex history with species known only from type material. Therefore, we aim to perform a revisional, biogeographic and phylogenetic studies for Croton sect. Pedicellati.
