Integrative Taxonomy and Phylogeography of the Hyperdominant Species Complex Eschweilera coriacea (Lecythidaceae) in the Amazon

Project summary:

Species complexes are gaps in knowledge about diversity. A better understanding of these complexes are important taxonomic tools that help to understand all ecological processes in forests. In this context, we will use an integrative approach, with different sources of evidence, to help us discover and discover the lineages present in the current concept of Eschweilera coriacea, belonging to one of the most important botanical families in the Amazon rainforest, Lecythidaceae.
