Project summary:
This project will investigate the taxonomy, diversification, of Gloeophyllum (P. Karsten), a brown rot fungi genus, in the neotropics, combining morphological characterization, multilocus phylogenetic analyses (ITS, LSU, TEF1-α, RPB2), and ecological data, the research aims to clarify species limits and level delimitation in underexplored Brazilian and Paraguayan ecotone.
