Revisiting the biology of Tetracera (Dilleniaceae): phylogenomics, historical biogeography and revision of the Neotropical species

Project summary:

Tetracera is a genus in Dilleniaceae distributed pantropically. Its last revision dates to 1970 and since then new species were described and two phyllogeny works were published to the family but focusing on other genera. The revision from 1970 did not solved the nomenclatural problems and this is one of the objectives of my work along with producing a robust and phylogenetic framework for Tetracera. The funds from IAPT Grant will be used to visit herbarium MO that helds expressive collections from South (non-Brazilian) and Central America.
