Phylogenetic Relationships and Taxonomic Treatment of genera in the clade Maranta (Marantaceae).

Project summary:

This project concerns the eight neotropical genera of clade Maranta, which sum up to 400 names and represent ca. 20% of Marantaceae species. The aim is to deeply understand the morphology of these entities and to comprehend kinship among them, solving the last major gap of knowledge in Marantaceae.
