Delimiting species in the socioeconomically important Cochlospermum spp. (Bixaceae) in Benin.
Project summary:
In Benin, though Cochlospermum tinctorium and C. planchonii are formally known, the undefined systematic position of their closely related hybrid species, C. intermedium, causes a critical scientific gap. This project will assess the taxonomic boundaries in the genus Cochlospermum, essential for efficient conservation in Benin.
