Diversification of Senega (Polygalaceae) with emphasis on subg. Monninopsis

Project summary:

Senega subg. Monninopsis is represented by two South American and ten North American species. The subg. is little known, especially the North American species. They are morphologically very similar and their diagnostic characters are imprecise. I plan to study subg. Monninopsis through systematic, phylogenetic, and biogeographical approaches.
