Integrative taxonomic revision of Gymnanthemum Cass. (Vernonieae, Asteraceae): a widespread and species-rich woody plant genus.
Project summary:
This project conducts the first integrative taxonomic revision of Gymnanthemum using phylogenomic, morphological, and biogeographic data. IAPT funding is essential to support a research visit to the U.S. National Herbarium to examine type and historically important specimens, which will provide critical data for robust species delimitation and informed nomenclatural decisions.
