Phylogeny and taxonomic revision of the genus Comolia DC. (Melastomataceae, Marcetieae)

Project summary:

The Comolia genus has 11 species distributed across the Neotropic savannahs and sandbanks. From molecular analysis with materials collected in the field and from herbaria, combined with morphometric studies, we intend to understand the systematic relations of Comolia, expanding the phylogeny of the genus and clarifying a complex of species.
