Implicações taxonômicas e filogenéticas com base em estudos palinológicos dos
gêneros Neotropicais de Chrysophylloideae (Sapotaceae).

Project summary:

Sapotaceae is pantropical (~1,300 spp.). In Chrysophylloideae, highly diverse in the Neotropics, generic limits remain unclear and require integrated palynological and molecular studies. This project characterizes pollen, tests recent delimitations, seeks synapomorphies, and investigates evolution based on morphological characters, clarifying phylogenetic relationships and strengthening the subfamily’s taxonomy.
