Psychotria sensu stricto (Rubiaceae-Rubioideae) is a pantropical genus with 1.500+ species. Brazil has 140 species, according to a broadly circumscription. This project intends to realize the taxonomic review, phylogeny, and the biogeographic study of Psychotria sensu stricto occurring in Brazil, to elucidate questions about the classification of this group.
