Systematics, floristics, biogeography and conservation status of the genus Pilosocereus (Cactaceae) Byles & G.D.Rowley.

Project summary:

Taxonomic treatments of Pilosocereus in the Caribbean have varied widely. The study proposed here will use a combined approach of morphological and molecular techniques combined with field observations to help differentiate taxa. The conservation status of taxa will be determined to highlight which are most in need of protection.
