Natural history of the American mangosteens: phylogenetics
and taxonomy of Garcinia L. (Clusiaceae) in the New World

Project summary:

The project aims to clarify the taxonomy of the neotropical
species of the genus Garcinia L. In addition, we intend to produce a phylogeny to
contemplate Garcinia sect. Rheedia, through molecular and morphological data,
allowing to understand the evolutionary relationships between the species and patterns
of morphological diversification.
