Evolution and diversification of the genus Airampoa Frič: a phylogenetic, morphological and cytogenetic approach (Opuntioideae–Cactaceae)

Project summary:

This project will, for the first time, provide an integrative understanding of the genus Airampoa, maintain living collections in the cactus greenhouse (https://cactus.imbiv.conicet.unc.edu.ar/), and review Argentine herbaria to increase population representation. It also represents the first comprehensive approach to the genus combining morphological, cytogenetic, and molecular perspectives, supported by a solid research team with demonstrated expertise.
