Species Delimitation in Ficus sect. Americanae (Moraceae): An Integrative Model Based on Anatomical, Ontogenetic, and Genetic Evidence
Project summary:
This project implements an integrative taxonomic model to delimit evolutionary lineages in Ficus sect. Americanae. By combining MIG-seq genomics, anatomy, and ontogeny, I aim to resolve "wastebasket taxa" complexes, formally describe potentially endemic new species from Colombia, and provide reliable data for Neotropical biodiversity conservation and management.
