The glowing forest: taxonomic and phylogenetic studies of bioluminescent 'Mycena' (Agaricales, Mycenaceae) from the Atlantic Forest

Project summary:

This study aims to collect and study bioluminescent 'Mycena' species from the Atlantic Forest. Morphological and molecular studies will help to better understand this group in Brazil and worldwide. 'Mycena globulispora' and 'M. fera' will be further studied to investigate the similarities and whether or not they are distinct species.
