Morphological evolution, taxonomy, and biogeography of Pappophorinae (Poaceae: Chloridoideae)

Project summary:

We aim to perform a phylogenetic, character, and biogeographic reconstruction of Pappophorinae Dumort. to understand its relationships, infer the evolutionary processes associated with this group, and provide new insights into the diversification of Neotropical flora. Additionally, we aim to propose a more robust circumscription for this poorly defined group and incorporate new accessions into the phylogeny.
