This project focused on the Lamiaceae aims to make use of a phylogenetic inference based on next generation sequencing and a taxonomic revision to answer two questions: Which genera compose Hyptidinae and what are their evolutionary relationships? What is the circumscription of Hyptidendron and the taxa that compose the genus?
