OBJETIVOS

OBJETIVO GENERAL

Realizar la actualización y sistematización de la colección de referencia del Herbario Enrique Forero (HUAZ) de la Universidad de la Amazonia, Florencia – Caquetá.

OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS

• Realizar el proceso de inclusión y fotografiar a la colección de referencia del Herbario (HUAZ) de la Universidad de la Amazonia.

• Contribuir a la sistematización de la colección en el Sistema de Información sobre Biodiversidad de Colombia (SiB Colombia) y en la Infraestructura Mundial de Información en Biodiversidad (GBIF).

Collection Improvement (max. 120 points)

  • Facilitating access to the physical collections by digitization (e.g., data entry, setting up database structure with an outline of the platform to be used, purchasing equipment, and imaging specimens) – up to 30 points.

  • Enhancing physical collections by improving the conservation status of specimens in the herbarium (e.g., better folders, protecting covers, mounting paper, labeling, etc.) – up to 30 points.

  • Curating specimens (e.g., updating families, species identification, identifying types) – up to 20 points.

  • Increasing our understanding of the flora or funga by making new herbarium specimens available, such as processing of backlog or collecting and mounting of new specimens from understudied sites – up to 20 points.

  • Securing collections by distribution of duplicates (or orphan collections) to other regional or international herbaria or shipping endangered collections to another herbarium – up to 20 points.

Actualización

Para esto, se fabricarán camisas con papel kraft de dimensiones 31x41cm y carpetas con papel cartulina color verde de dimensiones 35x45cm. También se colocará el número de inclusión a cada muestra, se separará por familias y se armarán carpetas para facilitar posteriormente la inclusión. De igual forma se elaborarán las respectivas etiquetas para colocarlas a las carpetas. Luego se fotografiarán las muestras botánicas, estas imágenes serán editadas para eliminar cualquier parte que no sea de dichas muestras. Posteriormente se realizará la inclusión del material fotografiado a los casilleros que contiene el herbario para dicha actividad, cada muestra botánica debe ir con su respectiva camisa, la cual irá en su debida carpeta y esta con su labelo correspondiente de acuerdo a su identificación taxonómica. Cuando se tenga organizada la información de los ejemplares incluidos, se ingresará esta información a la plataforma Darwin Core del SiB Colombia y también se realizará la actualización en la plataforma RNC del Instituto Alexander von Humboldt.

Diagnóstico

Para el diagnóstico se evaluará el estado de la colección de referencia mediante el índice de fitosanidad. De acuerdo al estado en que se encuentre se tomarán las decisiones pertinentes para corregir la afección, siendo el caso se deberán sacar las muestras de la colección, desinfectarlas, colocarlas en cuarentena y volverlas a incluir. Además, mediante un Termohigrómetro se tomarán las medicion
